Breast-feeding Moms: Yummy Mocha Coconut Coffee Recipe

Updated February 7, 2022

Latte Directions

Get out your Ninja mixer to make this tasty healthy organic coffee drink right at home! Mix the coffee, the Lake Champlain dark chocolate, the Taza chocolate, the vanilla, the honey, the coconut oil, the butter together in your Ninja cup and voila!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup brewed organic coffee

  • 1 scoop of dark drinking chocolate cocoa ( I like to mix Lake Champlain dark chocolate with the Taza chocolate mix! Yum!)

  • 1/4 cup almond or coconut milk (I prefer the taste and the creaminess of the almond milk mixed with the chocolate but I didn’t have any around the day I made this so I used coconut milk!)

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

  • 1 TBSP organic grass-fed unsalted butter

  • ¼ tsp organic vanilla

  • 1 tsp of honey (or to taste! I use more!)

Does this sounds oily? When people first started adding coconut oil to their coffee to get the benefits, everyone was just adding coconut oil in by itself. The coconut oil would just kinda hang around on top! Uh, the texture was not the best.

But the methods have evolved. Currently, chefs recommend mixing butter in as well. The butter emulsifies the coconut oil so you don’t get that icky oily texture on top! It is well blended and much more yummy!

And you get your lauric acid immune boost for the day!
