Remembering all of that day, remembering those who died, remembering how we used to be.
Acknowledging how we’ve had to change.
I just can’t get used to the difference in the New York City Skyline. I try, but I always feel like something is missing. The Freedom Tower is beautiful, but to me, the sky still looks empty.
Lingering feelings of grief and sorrow are there for me always every day I see that change; I have a permanent body-felt sadness.
We were all changed that day.
May all beings live in peace.
